More than 100 animal welfare organizations operate on islands throughout the Caribbean. The Pegasus Foundation’s Caribbean Animal Welfare program has provided training, resources and support to these Caribbean groups since 2000. The Caribbean Animal Welfare Conference, held every two years, brings together organizations throughout the region for three days of training. The Foundation also conducts site visits and distributes resource materials, operates an E-mail network among the groups and provides small grants for spay/neuter clinics, education programs, sea turtle protection, and disaster relief.
