Pegasus began and continues to sponsor the highly successful Caribbean Animal Welfare Conference. Begun in 2003, this innovative, bi-annual Conference unites animal welfare workers from the individual Caribbean Islands and the wider Caribbean Region. With focused grants, Pegasus helps support travel and accommodations for workers from developing parts of the region so that best practices can be shared and animal welfare can be effectively promoted throughout the region. The 2015 conference will be in June in Costa Rica with a dual track to focus on both domestic animals and wildlife.

Focus areas include:
• Spaying and Neutering Dogs and Cats
• Wildlife Protection
• Feral Equine Management
• Companion Animal Management

In 2015 and beyond, Pegasus and our partner Humane Society International, will continue to recruit the help of other non-profit organizations to provide assistance to often struggling local organizations in dealing with animal issues in their particular region. Sometimes a very small donation can make a huge difference in the lives of people and animals in underserved areas. Together in 2014, we helped projects in Martinique, Grenada, Dominican Republic, Carriacou, Puerto Rico and Guatemala. In 2015 Puerto Rico, St. Thomas and Grand Bahama will be our focus areas.
